Robin Hood - Auditions

Here you can find out some more information about the auditions and about the show!

KEY DATES AND TIMES FOR AUDITIONS

 Get Together

9th July at 6pm at the Carriageworks Theatre

Workshop Auditions

14th July (all auditionees must attend the workshop, even if they are only wishing to be considered for principal roles). The children's workshop (Year 11 from September and under) will be from 10am-11am. The adult's workshop will be from 11am-12pm. The advanced dance / movement audition will be from 12pm to 12.30pm. The workshop auditons will take place at Crank Studios, Beryl Burton Gardens, Morley, LS27 9FN.

Weekday auditioins will be held at the Carriageworks Theatre

Principal Auditions

14th July from 1pm, 16th & 17th July. Specific times will be communicated to auditionees

Additional Date

23rd July (Please let us know when you sign up if you cannot attend auditions on any of the dates above due to a prior commitment and we will arrange for you to attend on the additional date.)

As we prepare for the upcoming Robin Hood auditions, we understand that many of our members are also eagerly anticipating the opportunity to audition for Les Misérables "Let The People Sing" in the coming months.  If you are interested in auditioning for this, we still encourage you to still audition for Robin Hood and let us know about your interest in Les Misérables so that we can consider that as we plan for Robin Hood.

ROBIN HOOD

The eponymous hero! Dashing and handsome from head to tights!

MAID MARIAN

Daughter of KING RICHARD. Beautiful with a feisty side.

NANNY FANNY FLAPJACK

The Dame. Nanny and schoolmistress extraordinaire.

THE SHERIFF OF NOTTINGHAM

The villain. Greasy and greedy with a plan to rule England.

FRIAR TUCK

A bumbling cleric with a receding hairline.

SILLY WILLY SCARLETT

Son of NANNY FANNY. A lovable comic keen to join the Merry Men.

SCRATCH-IT

One of the Sheriff’s hapless minions. Prone to itching.

SNIFF

The other one of the Sheriff’s hapless minions. Suffers with sinus problems.

ALAN-A-DALE

Minstrel and member of the Merry Men.

THE SHERWOOD SPRITE

A kind spirit of the forest.

LITTLE JOHN

ROBIN HOOD’S right hand man.

KING RICHARD THE LIONHEART

The King of England. (Cameo Role)

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS

You must be Year 3 or above from September 2024 in order to audition. You must be Year 8 or above to take part in the advanced dance / movement audition.

SHOW DATES

17th - 25th January

REHEARSAL TIMES

Rehearsals will take place between 6pm to 8pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from October onwards. Weekday rehearsals may be extended to 8.30pm after Christmas. From November onwards we will also rehearse on a Sunday between 2pm and 5pm.

If you are just auditioning to be a part of the ensemble there is no material to learn prior to the audition.

Please check all the material carefully and prepare ALL lib and music for each part you are auditioning for.
